On our 4-Day Tour from Marrakech to Zagora and Erg Chegaga, we will start on Day 1 by exploring the stunning High Atlas Mountains and the historic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Itinerary of the 4-Day Tour from Marrakech to Zagora and Erg Chegaga
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Zagora Desert
We will start our first day trip from Marrakech to the Zagora Desert in the morning. We will pick you up from your riad or hotel. We will cross the High Atlas mountain range, known for its grandeur and beautiful landscape (sometimes snow-capped all year long), and the small Berber villages perched on its slopes.
We will pass over the stunning Tizi n’Tichka pass (elevation 2260 m), which is purported to be the highest pass in North Africa. After crossing the mountains, we will take a scenic route to Telouet village and visit the Kasbah Pacha el Glaoui, one of the most important edifices in the south of Morocco with an interesting history.
Then we will continue to visit one of the best kasbahs in Morocco, known as Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. After lunch at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou or nearby, we will take the road to Zagora and pass by Agdz.
We will have the opportunity to see one of the biggest Saharan green oases formed by a narrow river valley from the Atlas Mountains, known as the Draa Valley, which is the longest river in Morocco. We will continue our journey to Zagora, where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Zagora – Mhamid – Erg Chegaga
Start the day with a picturesque drive through beautiful villages and a desert atmosphere to Erg Chegaga, admiring the nature of the Draa Valley via Mhamid el Ghizlane. We will have lunch at some great restaurants in Mhamid el Ghizlane.
In the afternoon, we will continue through impressive dunes until we reach the dunes of Erg Chegaga, where we will spend a magnificent night. You will ride a camel (dromedary) and trek further into the desert to watch the sunset. You will spend the night in a nomad desert camp, enjoying the darkening sky and the beauty of a starry desert night.

Day 3: Erg Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we will start our third day from Erg Chegaga to Ouarzazate, crossing the stunning oasis of the Draa Valley. We will drive through the rock desert of Hamada via Foum Zguid and Taznakht to Ouarzazate. It is one of the wonderful destinations in Morocco, known as the “Door of the Sahara Desert” and the “Hollywood of Africa” due to the many films that have been shot there, such as What a Girl Wants, Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and much more. We will spend the night in Ouarzazate.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Kasbah Talouet – Marrakech
In the morning, after breakfast, we will head out on a panoramic tour of the city, exploring the Atlas Film Studio, where many famous movies have been filmed, and Kasbah Taourirt. We will then wrap up the tour with a visit to Kasbah Talouet.
On our way back, we will cross the massive pass via the spectacular High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka, returning to Marrakech with fantastic scenery and rich history. Drop-off at your accommodation.
