Itinerary of the 4-Day Tour Marrakech to Merzouga Desert
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
We will pick you up in the morning from your riad, hotel, airport, or wherever you are. We will start our desert tour with amazing stops and views through the High Atlas Mountains and small Berber villages perched on its slopes, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass, the highest in North Africa.
We will stop at one of the most impressive kasbahs in Morocco, Ait Ben Haddou, and several other sites you might not find time for without your guide. After lunch at a great restaurant, we will continue with fantastic scenery through the Rose Valley, and then arrive at our riad/hotel in Dades where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga (Camel Trekking & Desert Camping)
The next morning, we will start the second day of our 4-day Morocco desert tour after breakfast and a shower at your hotel. We will stop by Dades Valley for stunning landscapes and panoramic views. Then, we will hike through Todra Gorge, one of the most spectacular gorges and river canyons in the world. We will continue our journey to the Sahara Desert via El Jorf and Erfoud, heading to Merzouga.
There, you will ride a camel (dromedary) and trek further into the desert to explore the Sahara and watch the beautiful sunset. After a traditional Moroccan dinner at a Berber desert nomadic camp, you can enjoy the silence under the starry desert skies and the comfortable weather.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Nkob – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
Your camel guide will wake you up to catch the sunrise and climb the dunes to see the magnificent sunrise. Then, make your way back via camels to the lodge for a shower and breakfast. We will start our journey towards Ouarzazate, visiting Rissani to see its ksours, rich souk, and palm groves.
We will drive south through Alnif, Tazarine, Agdz, and the Draa Valley with its palm groves and winding roads, passing many Berber villages and kasbahs. We will cross the beautiful Anti-Atlas Mountains, discovering exclusive views, and reach Ouarzazate, where you will have a delicious dinner at the hotel or kasbah.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Kasbah Taluet – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
In the morning, we will take a panoramic tour of Ouarzazate, exploring the Atlas Film Studio where many famous movies have been filmed and visiting Kasbah Taourirt. We will then visit Kasbah Taluet on our way, crossing the massive pass via the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka back to Marrakech. Enjoy the fantastic scenery and rich history before being dropped off at your accommodation.

- Bring some warm clothes, as the desert can become quite chilly at night and may be cloudy, making stargazing less likely. We also recommend comfortable shoes, long skirts, long-sleeved shirts, and pants, along with sunglasses, a hat or cap, and sunscreen to protect against the sun and ensure a comfortable camel ride.
