On our 3-Day Trip from Marrakech to Essaouira and Taroudant, we will start with a scenic drive to Essaouira, where we will visit argan oil cooperatives, see goats climbing trees, and enjoy free time in this relaxed coastal city known for its beautiful beaches and vibrant souk.
On the second day, we will journey through the Atlas Mountains to Taroudant, exploring its historic red walls and bustling souk. Finally, on our last day, we will cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Test pass, admire the blooming almond and walnut trees, and return to Marrakech.
Essaouira is a city on the beach, with an entirely different ambiance and feel than Marrakesh. It is extremely laid-back and will remind many of Venice Beach, California (the Moroccan version). The seafood there is legendary and is some of the best you will ever have. The souk in Essaouira is also a great place to walk, admire, mingle, eat, and experience Morocco.
Taroudant, known as Mini Marrakesh, is a charming town from the 16th century with dusty red walls. Sometimes in the late afternoon and early evening, the colors of the walls change with the position of the sun. The biggest and best attraction in Taroudant is the souk (marketplace), which sells everything from spices and dried fruit to clothing, household goods, and handicrafts.

3-Day Trip from Marrakech to Essaouira and Taroudant Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Essaouira
We will pick you up from your accommodation and start our first day trip from Marrakech to Essaouira. On our way, we will pass by some argan oil cooperatives and see goats in trees, then continue our journey to Essaouira.
Once you arrive in Essaouira, you will have free time to explore this magical city. Essaouira is a beautiful coastal town in Morocco known for its relaxed vibes, beach, seafood, artisan industries, and lots of activity and fun. Enjoy the sea air, watch craftsmen at work, including woodworkers, and explore the maze of alleys and shops.
You can stroll through its narrow streets, dine on delicious meals in its restaurants, and enjoy its beautiful museums.

Day 2: Essaouira – Taroudant
Have breakfast, then drive through a varied landscape and the Atlas Mountains towards Taroudant, or “Little Marrakech,” as it is called. This town is a great place to stroll around, known for its surrounding ramparts, local jewelry, and carpets. You will have free time to explore this amazing city.

Day 3: Taroudant – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains, known for their grandeur and beautiful landscape (sometimes snow-capped all year long), and the small Berber villages perched on its slopes, over the spectacular Tizi n’Test (2,093m).
You will explore the beauty of nature and see almond and walnut trees in bloom while admiring the view. We will reach Marrakech and drop you off at your accommodation.
